Valentine Flip Album

Hello! Thank you for visiting my blog! I have been busy working on an album for part of my husband's Valentine's Day gift. This album evolved from a regular album - to an album on a stand. I went through a lot of work collecting pictures and compiling them into this album so I want to put it on display on our coffee table.

I made the stand out of disk of wood and a dowel. I hung the pictures with book rings. I drilled a hole in the disk of wood and hot glued the t-shape dowel that I had previously put together (I made a little notch out of the dowel where they were going to attach to make it not round - then I drilled a little hole, put wood glue in the hole and hammered a small finishing nail in).

The biggest job was compiling the pictures (twenty-one years worth). I added the year to each picture and a little bit of digital clip art that I downloaded from Creative Memories for free -  CLICK HERE to see the library of goodies they have. After I printed the pictures, I adhered them to kraft card stock and stamped some scrolls on the top and bottom and inked the edges. I slipped the picture into a page protector that I cut out of a cheap 4x6 album and I trimmed it to fit the insert. I attached a dry embossed and inked card stock to the top by sewing it on. I punched holes in all the album pages and hung them on the book rings. I love it!

**I also glued a round circle of black felt to the bottom of the wooden disk to prevent scratching when I put it on my coffee table. ***

Thanks for stopping by!
